My job has been going downhill, it finally hit a tipping point and I have all but quit. Except my boss is holding my paycheck until I apologize to a coworker. Rarely do I want to physically harm someone, but he is lucky I enjoy my freedom more than I enjoy hitting people.
Time to go back with statutes and bank statements in the morning to prove just how illegal what he is doing is.

Apologize? for what? I don't think he can legally hold your check for that reason unless there's something in your specific employee handbook.

You broke lines.

I snapped on a guy and used one choice word that apparently offended him so.
And he said I could get my check in 5 days, because that's what's specified in our Employee Agreement, funny part is, I never signed anything besides tax documents when getting hired, so... sucks to be him.

Ah, good to know, now that I'll never get to use it again... hahaha

You're better off apologising insincerely, taking the check, and then fucking him as a non-employee, in practicality. It's always annoying to be pushed around, but sometimes it's better to give ground until you're clear to push back twice as hard.
I suggest 'I apologise from the heart of my bottom'. If delivered in the right tone, it usually works long enough to get what you want. If somehow anyone's awake enough to realise what you said, just claim they're harassing you because of your poor English.

Get out your resume before you get fired. It's easier to get a(nother) job when you have a job already.

I've been in the market for a new job for a little while and already have a few things lined up, I'm not worried about what's next in the slightest. But definitely good advice.

There's not really anything I can do once I'm not an employee, and I really just want my check and to walk away. It's a small enough group of people working that the friend/coworker lines don't really exist, so I'm going to end up pissing off two people(the owner and the coworker I snapped at) but it isn't going to really affect anything. At least it's a shitty part time gig anyways, I make more in my off-time than I do there.

There are many, many things you can do once you're no longer contracted to the business. It just depends what you can be bothered with. Sometimes you have to do something to teach someone a lesson, so you can walk away with your self-respect.

Good luck!

I'm open to ideas.... but walking away seems to be the best thing to do. I was taking care of a lot of stuff that he will regret not having someone to do very quickly.

What do you do in your off time?

I paint houses/boats/whatever on days I have off, I also do fiberglass work and some woodwork(boat refinishing).

Quite often stupidity is its own punishment, so all you need to do is walk away. If there are no security cameras in the car-park, though, you could always pee on the boss's door handle, or something of that ilk. I make a point of doing that sort of thing anyway, when it's deserved and the opportunity presents; it's good for the ruling classes to know that kind of thing goes on, same as you should never be rude to a waiter because they can spit in your food.
